Full day out! Full weekdays gone!

15 days left!

1/2 of our ITP is gone, now to tackle another 15 days only!!! Work is getting better. Both me and Sunny are getting more varied tasks. Never woulda thought that 3 weeks would go like that.

Two days ago, hung out with KY and PH. They gave me all their YGO cards to use, and now, I have 5 decks, with my Monarch Gadget fully powered up. Oh yeah. Then we were at KY house, where we YVDed for 1 1/2 hours.

Met up with Anwar and Noel today, with some trading and Noel giving me some really good cards, we played, ate, chat and went all out. I really owe the both of them a lot, especially Noel, who have always been generous to me since we were 14. Before he go NS, I definitely must treat him to something good.

And the fact that he is still a genius deck maker remains. His on-the-spot decks, like his Phoenix Turbo Draw Deck today and the Ancient Gear Savage Deck he made for both of us to share were pure genius.

YGO suddenly became fun again, with meeting up with old friends and reliving our old times through some trading cards. Those moments... are something I will always remember. And will never forget. My friends, who will always help me to form decks, supply me cards... Thank you, all. I'll definitely return the favour one day.

Monday meeting up with my good old cousins again. Time to play more card games to bond!

Great that it's FRIDAY! No work tomorrow!!! ^_^ I need to sleep earlier already. Having lack of sleep recently cos I've been playing card games till 2am... GAH! Addiction can be such a bother. >_<

Weekdays can go so slow, while weekends end so mercilessly fast...

I wonder why. It's so incomprehensible when every Sunday night, you are like "EH, WHERE DID MY TIME GO TO!?" Saturday was pretty much wasted. I mean, when you need to leave house at around 2.30 plus to reach Orchard at 4pm plus, and go home at 7pm plus to reach home at almost 9pm, half your day is gone...

Fel got ill, with fever to boot, and couldn't make his appearance on Sat for Jap class. Hope he's better now. His ITP got Sunday shift somemore, and he refuses to get MC for it. Foolish guy...

Today, I went over to Tampines.

Me and Ern were supposed to go biking, but the weather is somehow against us. Tampines wasn't raining, but the other areas were... such as ECP. Plans were kinda ruined, so I just stayed at his house and we L4Ded with Clara. His toddler cousin quite friendly haha. I think the girls will go "so cute!" at him like how they went at Zack's sister.

After L4Ding for almost two hours, we went to meet up with Zack at Tampines who wants to buy a mask for his Masquerade Ball for his GNY camp. After hunting NTUC, Popular, Toys 'R Us and some other hobby shops, we came along the following choices.

Choices:
1) Barney party mask
2) Ichigo (Bleach) mask
3) Transformers (Optimus Prime and Bumblebee) masks

The choice was obvious. The only one that came even close to acceptance was the Ichigo mask. I feel sorry for his wallet though. The mask was pretty expensive, considering it is supposed to be either a collectible, or for cosplay purposes.

Zack has my gratitude for wanting to provide me free zoo tickets to ask a certain someone out. If I succeed this time, he's so gonna get a lollipop treat from me. =D Otherwise, it'll be another group outing with the costs cut after the free tickets.

Haiz... Sunday passed by in a flash. It's now Monday again...and in 7 hours time, it's work time again... I hope I get a better grade for the second week... :/

Fridays should be made national holidays

Yeah, tomorrow, after work, I sure shout TGIF one... Like last working day of the week! That's 21 days left till ITP finish! ZH YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Today I go home and chiong YVD with PH, haha. Noel's Ancient Gear deck plan is imba fast. I use it like unstoppable on one test run. Used Crystal and Ojama, then got PH help me test out Cyber deck. All like move very fast one. Speed summon really is my forte, haha... New Ojama cards like effect link with one another for effect one.

Tomorrow go my cousins' house, help them setup YVD.. Very good deck tester. Sian... I like suddenly addicted to a harmless children's trading card game again. :P

Today like come home eat one of my pastime favourite traditional snack: Dried mangoes. Wa, sweet sweet one, feel shiok. Somemore no fat content and all that. But very heaty, must drink a lot of water after eating hor!

Tomorrow ITP grading again. Have a hunch will get another 'B'. Haiz... must ask the supervisor why already, and how to get an 'A'. Like always got 'B' liddat sia.

I asked her out for the cosplay summit next week! Seems like she's spending her entire holidays on her job, haiz. But managed to maintain a SMS convo with her till night time, haha. Slightly encouraged and happy. :] Too bad didn't manage to go out with her... Always a next time!

Tomorrow, I will await 5:35pm with enthusiasm and great expectations. Then I will go to Bukit Panjang and have my fun like there's no tomorrow with cards and PS3. Mark my words.

I need to have an outing! I want one, I want one! My life is now very boring, so I need one! Anyone has any ideas for an outing that is low cost, fun and consumes a lot of time? Going to the pool again with the gang seems like a good idea!

Back to the game

ITP has entered its second week! So fast Wednesday of the second week already... Hope it ends even faster.

Me and Sunny first week only got 'B'. I'm not happy about it. Everyone else I know who are in the different sections/jobs gets 'A's. This week if another 'B' I going to ask why already.

SP Xperience 2010 ended today... without me in it. Another thing that made me hate ITP is that I can't attend this event.

Lemme explain specifically.

SP ACER is one of the best thing that happened to me after I entered SP. A lot of good friends, seniors and such are in there. Engaging in events with them has made me the happiest person on Earth whenever I do so. Now it's been replaced by a job which I have zero interests in, gives me only a 'B'. Somemore, this year SP Xperience more fun than last year's. I won't have a chance to engage in another one of it. Next year's SP Xperience, I just nice finish 3rd Year. Watching them having fun in the pictures and the videos makes me feel happy for them, but my heart really aches that I can't be in those photos and videos, and will never get a chance to be again. You get the picture. I really very nearly almost cried when I realised that fact... Less chances to create fun memories of being a student...

Recently, back in YGO with the old card game gangs. My cousins, PH, KY, Noel and Anwar. Been trying out YVD just now with KY and PH. KY owns with Exodia deck. Gonna try out a deck Noel made for me. It seems pretty good. Been going to my cousin's house more often for the games.

Now, the life of a working bachelor is never easy. Often, after work, you couldn't possibly gather strength to cook dinner. So, since my sisters don't cook unless beckoned to, my dinners have been reduced to these.

Pathetic, right? But ok la. The triangular toast contains boiled eggs, cheese and ham inside. Carbo + Protein diet. Damn shiok whenever I eat it... But too bad only that little. It's really good though.

Tomorrow end already, I come home sleep my ass off. Too little sleep lately already. Friday going to my cousins' house again for more YGO. I've been helping him form his decks, which are all effective.

Photoshopping! :]

Made myself a phone wallpaper! =D Pretty satisfied with the results. It's not as good as something Garry could make though, but I still like this one.

^Darker than Black phone wallpaper

It's not the best I made, but well, considering that I've been on hiatus for quite awhile, I'm pretty satisfied. I'm having trouble adjusting it to the correct size to fit my phone screen. Someone mind telling me how to check your phone's screen size? Tips anybody?

Re-living old hobbies are fun. Suddenly playing Yu-Gi-Oh! and photoshopping again... wow, the feeling is shiok!

P.S.: I'm letting my guard down by not putting any initials because I trust that no readers of my blog will steal my work. If you wish to use it or something, please inform me. Your cooperation is kindly appreciated. Please keep in mind that there is a risk for stealing as photoshoppers are savage creatures who will not hesitate to kill any thieves who steal their work. Thank you for reading this. =]

The best days of a week for a student: Fridays and Saturdays!

Friday: "Generally the fifth day of a week. It is the sixth day in countries that adopt a Sunday-first convention and in traditional Abrahamic tradition. In most countries with a five-day work week, Friday is the last workday before the weekend and is therefore viewed as a cause of celebration and relief (leading to the phrase 'TGIF', for 'Thank Goodness It's Friday)." [Koped from Wikipedia]

But enough about the analogy and let me just shout TGIF! Since I don't have ITP on Saturday and Sunday, to me, it is a damn great cause of celebration and relief (koped from above). You guys have no idea how boring ITP is. -.-

After work, I went over to my cousin's place at Bukit Panjang for some childish children's trading card games (The name might be called Yu-Gi-Oh! I think)! :] I'm not going to buy anymore new cards, but it's nice to get the dust out of my old cards sometimes just to do some thrashing. A man with four decks has surely got a lot of dust to get rid of!

Well, after that game, I went home. Since it was my father's birthday, we bought a cake, some supper and had a small celebration among ourselves! :]

^Yummy yummy mango cake! :]

Sung the song, did the norm, and the celebration was soon broken up.

Now to talk about Saturday. No worries, no more Wikipedia bullcraps.

11:20am, I woke up and found out I was supposed to be somewhere 20 minutes ago with one phonecall from Noel. "Oh f*cking shit." were the only words running through my head back then. I rushed to Yew Tee MRT immediately meet up with the old card game gang. Yeah, it was pure coincidence! Right 4 hours after my cousin called me for a game, my old card game gang called me to play also. FYI, my friends dunno my cousin.

We played a few games, and I found out that while I was enjoying my retirement, Noel and Anwarsecretly levelled up in underground and aboveground tournaments respectively. What a waste of money. When they asked me why I am no longer spending money on cards, I told them I was saving it for "adult usage".

^My four decks! Monarch, Beatdown, Six Samurai and Crystal Beasts. :]

Well, it was fun to re-liven the old times, but I got owned by their stupid OTK (One Turn Kill) combos. >< Imba. They sure are born meta players for tournaments. Well, not me. I prefer to play for leisure. That is what "playing" means. Why so serious?

Noel informed me about a cosplay event, which I got hyped up to go to, because I might see a certain someone there. He neglected to tell me until two hours later that there was an entrance fee of $10. -.- Should I go? Cosplayers are nothing to marvel about, to be honest, after me and Zack took photos with them at Escapade. Unless those cosplayers look as good as her!

^Dunch jealous, guys!

My primary motive to go is so I can see someone (no, not the girl above) anyway, which I think will reject my every offer to see her. So, should I go? Hmm... Decisions, decisions...

After the card game session, I headed to Orchard. Saw this damn chio bu sitting in front of me till she alighted two stops before me. Whoa, she was damn hot. >< Way out of my league. Had my lesson, and I tested my camera and took a few shots around the place.

^They should be glad I'm advertising for them...

^And their toilet directions. Wow, the reception sure were staring at me when I was taking this shot...

^"I AM GUNDAM!"

^Nyan Koi, anyone? :P

^They say that if you fold a thousand paper cranes, your wishes will come true...

^If my future house is golden like this, I would be really happy ah!

After that, me and Fel headed to ION for a few snacks of Mini Okonomiyaki, some chicken skillet and curry korokkes. Damn cheap! $1 per item only, and those stuff usually cost more than that outside. Plus, it's all piping warm, and when you buy 5, you get one free. For you guys who are interested, it's called Tokyo Monja.

^My stamp card for Tokyo Monja!

^Mini Oko(nomiyaki) from there!

^And their delicious curry korokke, which I took a bite out of.

^A totally unrelated takoyaki stall nearby. I just saw their takoyaki frying so beautifully that I couldn't resist taking a shot. >< Sorry for poor quality of picture.

Me and Fel then chatted about our ITPs on the train, before I headed home.

Wa, my handphone, which was damaged 3-4 months ago, suddenly revive by itself! Damn scary! But thanks to that, I can now take and upload photos. Poor quality too, sorry about that. Don't blame me, it's just 2 Megapixels. Even with a super duper pro cameraman, there is only so much I can do! :] But thanks to that I can now post pictures of what I want to photograph! ^_^

And be warned, my hobby is taking pictures! Don't mind if you end up here. Hehehe...

ITP

Yeeeah, ITP begins.

Me and Sunny reached at 8am, and gave the manager our mug shots, IC photocopies and etc. We luckily got into the business department of Mentor Media Pte Ltd, which has the coldest air-conditioning of all the rooms there.

The supervisors and manager are kind, the job is not so complicated, though I made a few mistakes, but still manageable. :]

It's just the long hours that get on us. We need to sit down on a desk for what, 9 hours to do the same thing over and over again. Still can manage though, but I'd rather go play in a swimming pool like yesterday. Starting to get addicted to the smell of chlorine water, haha. Good thing my workplace is like 5 metres away from Bukit Batok Swimming Complex.

Went over to my cousin, Jun Yi's place after work, and we embarked on playing Yu-Gi-Oh!. It's been a while since I played, but I guess that my skills hasn't diminished much yet. Played his awesome PS3 games, and passed him some anime to watch.

Tomorrow was planning to go swimming, but remembered that I have school library books overdue. Need to return by tomorrow or fines will start piling! So yeah, after work, I'll be going back to Dover for awhile. Wednesday onwards then start my daily swimming/diet/stamina training regime. Determination, determination... and you'll be able to see a new ZH 7 weeks later!

Alright, I better get more rest, since there is still work tomorrow. I'm so gonna tackle the task assigned to us! Ganbarou! Positive attitude!

Playing with water Up in the Air

Today is the legendary swimming pool trip to Big Splash at Jurong West! The culprits today are Zack, Shida, Nadiah, Leroy, Haikal, and of course, me.

The place was fun to the max! Slides, jaccuzis, wave pools... It's almost like Wild Wild Wet, but ten times cheaper. The 'view' there is also good, if you guys catch my meaning! We played some water games planned by our own selves.

If I have anything to complain about, it's the guys' changing room, but that's all. Dirty, smelly... It's the worse changing room among all the swimming pools I've visited.

We left tired, hungry, and some of us ended up a sunburn. Ouch! >< How am I going to handle my ITP tomorrow with a sunburn?! However, it was damn fun! Guys, let's go there next time again!

Coming out of the place, we rendezvous with Sen Rong at the KFC outside, then made out way to Dhoby Ghaut for our movie. There, we met up with Ern, Ee Seuu and Ynex. After debating, we decided to watch Up in the Air, starring George Clooney. We had a dinner downstairs at the basement together, and Leroy had to leave soon.

We then entered the cinema, all preparing to watch a movie we hadn't even heard or knew about. After around 2 hours of sarcastic comedy, a man's job and his romance, we walked out of the theater. Well, I rate the movie a 7.5/10.

Since the time then read 9:40pm, we decided to head home... but not before some photo-taking! Thanks Ern for his amazing camera phone! :)

^Group Photo 1

^Group photo 2, which is pretty blur...

Me, Haikal, Ynex, Nadiah and Shida took the same train, while the others hopped on the other route. Chatted and joked all the way back till each of us alighted.

Now I need to get my stuff ready for my ITP! Ciao, all! Let's go all out again! =D

Animes to recommend!

After knowing Ern, I've been constantly sent awesome animes by him. Watching them brings many feelings to my heart, because they're all so good! Here are my top few recommendations!

1) Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Geass. The power of absolute obedience. The Power of Kings is received by a castaway prince, Lelouch, from an immortal girl who holds the power of the Code, C.C. with one condition; to grant a wish of C.C.. With this power, Lelouch, as the symbol named Zero, creates a paramilitary organisation the Order of the Black Knights to battle against his father, half siblings and best friend in battles of wits to make an ideal world for his sister, Nunnally, to live in. This show has an excellent mix of mind games, strategies, and questioning of morals. It's also mecha! The storyline is awesome. This anime has 2 seasons, 25 episodes each!

2) Mobile Suit Gundam 00

A young boy once forced to be a terrorist. A man whose family was wiped out by terrorism. A runaway super soldier with split personalities who was meant to be disposed. A living bio-terminal of a super computer. The four of their fates are intertwined by the very personification of their very desire, the eradication of all war; the Gundams. Will they, as the Gundam Meisters of the paramilitary organisation Celestial Being, succeed in their goal? Like Code Geass, it also has 2 seasons, 25 episodes each, and a movie is coming out this September in Japan!

3) Darker than Black

Tokyo. The city has now been surrounded by an abnormal territory, known as 'Hell's Gate'. Soon after Hell's Gate appeared, the superhuman Contractors and the passive mediums, the Dolls start to appear at large in the city as well, while the heavenly bodies disappeared, replaced by false stars, each signifying a Contractor's life. Code-name Hei, is the top assassin of a mysterious organisation, known as 'The Syndicate'. Feared by all Contractors as the 'Black Reaper', Hei conducts missions for The Syndicate, with only one goal in mind, to find the whereabouts of his sister, Bai, who disappeared in an incident concerning another entity known as the 'Heaven's Gate' in South America a few years ago...

This anime also has 2 seasons. Season 1 has 25 episodes, Season 2 has 12 episodes, and OVAs are currently being broadcast. Very great action. Makes Matrix actions look easy.

4) New Mobile Report Gundam Wing

In the future, humans started to move to outer space to live in colonies. However, an assassination of the colonies' representative of peace, Heero Yuy, triggered a war between the colonies and Earth. Operation Meteor. The mysterious operation involves dropping five Gundams to Earth to wreak chaos. 5 young pilots piloted the units, and battles against Earth's Romefeller Foundation and their military, OZ...

This anime has 49 episodes and 1 movie. Very nice story to watch!

5) Clannad

An anime from a visual novel game of the same name. It features one male main character and 5 heroines, and their school life. The main character is Okazaki Tomoya, a delinquent, who had to stop playing basketball after an incident, and how his life changed after meeting the 5 heroines. This anime is full of comedy, but also tear-jerking moments. Recommended for those who like drama and love stories, with lots of comedy packed into it.

6) Seitokai no Ichizon

In Heikiyou High School in Hokkaido, 4 of the student council members are selected through a popularity poll, and the remaining 1 seat is given to the student with the highest grade in school. Enter Sugisaki Ken, the man with the highest grades in school. The other four remaining members of  student council are cute and beautiful girls, which Ken describes as 'his harem', much to their constant objections and chagrin. The story also shows each of the past Ken has with the other members of the student council, which shaped him into the man he is.

This show is nice for its humour, parodies, references to boy love, a tiny pinch of fanservice and many fun characters. If you like pretty anime girls, this show is definitely for you! I really found it a pity when it had to end. =(

7) Hayate no Gotoku

Hayate no Gotoku features the main character Ayasaki Hayate, a 17-years old with extremely bad luck, as well as irresponsible parents who offered to sell his organs to cover their gambling debts. His encounter with Sanzenin Nagi changed his life, being given a job as her butler. Due to his job, fights with strange robots, creatures, demons and ghosts to protect his new mistress are common occurrences everyday! He also has to deal with the feelings that many girls have for him, despite being oblivious to it.

Like Seitokai, this show also features many whacky parodies of animes, references, whacky humour, with bits of fanservice.
